The Effectiveness of Providing Audiovisual-Based Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) Interventions on Diabetes Self-Care Knowledge and Skills

The increasing incidence of complicated diseases in Bali could indicate that diabetes self-care is not optimal. Diabetes mellitus, also abbreviated as DM, a non-communicable disease whose number sufferers increasing. This study aims to examine the effectiveness audiovisual-based DSME on knowledge and skills for type 2 diabetes. design this was quasi-experimental with control group. sample research were 76 respondents who selected through purposive sampling technique, then they divided into two groups, namely group (38 respondents) intervention 38 respondents. Audiovisual-based given 5 sessions, which held 1 week per session. Statistical results showed there significant effect (p-value <0.05 both skills). can be used an innovation providing education improving behavior reducing risk complications midst COVID-19 pandemic.
